1) GUN ASSEMBLER

Position Title:  Gun Assembler

Reports To:     Gunsmith Manager

 

Position Summary:

The Gun Assembler position performs the various steps required to build an STI firearm.  The Gun Assembler ensures that quality standards are met or exceeded at each step in the assembly process.

 

Job Responsibilities/Essential Functions:

  • Performs assigned work in the manufacture of STI firearms that meets STI quality standards.
  • Identify and resolve quality issues identified during the assembly processes.
  • Verify the quality of work performed in previous assembly steps.
  • Maintain assembly tools and equipment that are used in the assembly of firearms.

 

Skills/Qualifications/Education:

  • A high school diploma or equivalent.
  • At least 18 years of age.
  • Willing and able to work extended hours and/or second shift when required.

 

Preferred Skills:

  • Previous gun assembly experience.
  • Previous manufacturing assembly experience.
  • Familiar with the use of handguns.

 

 

 

2) GUNMITH

Position Title:  Gunsmith

Reports To:     Gunsmith Manager

 

Position Summary:

The Gunsmith position is the final step in the manufacture of STI firearms.  The gunsmith completes final assembly and test of firearms and ensures quality standards are met or exceeded.

 

Job Responsibilities/Essential Functions:

  • Final assembly and test fire of STI produced firearms.
  • Ability to complete all steps in the manufacture of STI firearms.
  • Identify and resolve quality and/or functional problems with firearms during the assembly and/or test processes.
  • Complete final processing and inspection of firearms.
  • Assist gun assemblers with the manufacture of firearms as required.
  • Maintain gunsmithing tools to optimize operational capability and maximize tool lifetime.

 

Skills/Qualifications/Education:

  • An Associate’s degree in gunsmithing or a degree from a gunsmithing trade school.
  • Minimum two years of experience working on firearms or equivalent experience with handling and/or shooting of firearms.

 

Preferred Skills:

  • Previous gunsmithing experience.
